Judging panels so far…

A jury will be assembled to judge photographs entered into A Year in the Life. All jury members sit down in a viewing room, discuss submitted pictures and vote for which one they think is the “best” for each day. No one from the organisation team has a vote. Their decision will be based on various criteria:
. creativity and originality
. cultural/historical interest
. photo composition
. story, subject
. interpretation of the area feel
. ability to catch the viewers’ attention…
These are not a comprehensive list and should be used a general guidelines for the panel’s decision. The criteria that make a picture really stand out are often indefinable.
