Craig Brown | Faversham I live in Davington. I am 40 years old and am a teacher in Chatham but I have been taking photos all of my life. I have a particular interest in landscape photography and spend a few weeks a year in the Austrian Alps. I have just invested in a Nikon D7000 and this evening have been taking photos of the sunset over Oare Creek. David Gethin | Faversham. David moved to Faversham at the beginning of 1997 because of his job and has stayed because of the community feel of the town. Tina Hagger | Faversham. I moved to Faversham in May 2009 and could see straight away that it was a special place with a beautifully conserved centre, gorgeous surrounding countryside and a unique community spirit. I enjoy explorations/adventures in and around Faversham, often with a camera in hand. I don’t have hi-tech or expensive equipment, just a point and shoot, but I try to use my ‘eyes’ more than my camera.

Ruth McDonald | Faversham I completed a degree in printed textiles in ’69 and an MA in Fine Art in 2010. Having taught Art in Kent for many years I now work in my studio in Boughton under Blean. I am interested in my local woodland landscape and the traces left by past inhabitants. I constantly re-visit preferred sites, then re-work and re-order. My explorations explore beyond the evident as I seek to reveal images as ciphers and signs of the unknown. I portray an inner landscape where we can experience a sense of rhythmic energy and vitality in observation, reminding us of where we have come from and our ultimate destiny.

Alistair Mitchell | Faversham Recently, Nov 2010, moved to Faversham from SE London, and really enjoyed viewing the pictures from last year so thought I would get involved. Carol Mitchell | Faversham. Canadian born, Carol emigrated to England in 1992 and later received British citizenship. She lives in the Faversham district with her husband. In 2007 she joined the Faversham & District Camera Club.

Simon North | Canterbury Simon North graduated from Medway College of Art, Rochester, Kent with a degree in Visual Communications. He worked with advertising agency McCann Erickson as an Art Director, then as an international Creative Director in many different countries including Norway, Austria, Kenya, Lebanon, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mauritius, Ivory Coast, Nigeria. He was a founding member and elected president of The Art Directors Club, Austria, and has won numerous creative awards in many countries including The Golden Lion at The Cannes Advertising Awards.

Andrew Parker | Faversham. I am 32 and new to the world of photography and was inspired by the last Year in the Life book of Faversham. I have lived in the town my whole life and know it can be very picturesque. A lot has changed since I was a boy and it is nice to see the town from ages past as well as in modern times. I am going to try and capture things that a lot of people in the town don’t often see, or even know is there.
Rex Piles | Faversham, Canterbury and Sheppey Born & lived in Eastling Nr Faversham 22 years then moved to Herne Bay area , I have always had an interest in photography but have become more serious over the last 5 years since I purchased a digital SLR. I have been a motorcycle tour guide for trips around Europe and have made DVD Audio visual of the trips for participants which have proved a great success. I am looking forward to taking part in the 365 days in the year of Canterbury, Faversham and Sheerness.
Lyn Powell| Faversham Born on Nagden Farm, I can often be seen riding my iron horse in and around Faversham. A relative newcomer to photography I’ve found it to be a captivating hobby and have a great deal to learn. I guess being a country person I prefer nature shots, although I’m not averse to capturing people or industry in a frame. The diversity of Faversham town is it’s magic, particularly areas like the Creek and Standard Quay which I find offers a feast for the eyes.

Mary Ransom | Faversham I’ve lived in Faversham all my life and can trace my local family back to about 1700. I am a member of Faversham Mission Brass and have been secretary to the band for over 12 years. I am also an active member of The Faversham Society. I’ve always enjoyed taking photos (probably runs in the family as my father was a keen photographer) and since the success of the last Year in the Life project have upgraded my camera to a Fuji HS10.

Ruth Rivers | Faversham I am an illustrator and artist living and working in Faversham I make and sell needle felted whimsical animals under the name of Miss Bumbles on line at Etsy. I think this project is great and would love to be involved. I moved to the town last year and love it, I can’t think of any where else I’d rather be.
Susanna Rosti Rossini | Faversham Susanna is Italian and lives in Faversham. Landscape, Nature, Abstract Photography. She studied interior architecture and that has brought a balanced visual composition in her photography. She specialized in lighting design and this reflects in the juxtaposition of light and shadow in her shots. A real passion for jazz piano makes her loving a dynamic flow of the images. Alan Wood | Faversham & Canterbury I love Faversham and I love photography – if only there was a way of combining the two. So, after much procrastination, I have finally taken the plunge on AYITLOF. Now I just need to get the camera out. My favourite subjects include motor sport and close-ups of plants and insects. Where appropriate I like to include movement in my shots to convey a bit more atmosphere – honestly it’s not camera shake and anyone who says so is lying.
